Butterfly heaven . . .

Butterflies are symbols of freedom, beauty, and love ... I want to eat lots, sleep awhile and wake up beautiful like a butterfly!

Location: Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada

I love to spend time with my husband, my daughter, my grandchildren, and my great granddaughter. I also enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine with friends to "blow off steam"! Family and friends are the most important people in my life.

He's home . . .

This is definitely a working truck, looks like it needs a "bath". Although, when Rick climbed out, I wasn't sure which was dirtier, the truck or him :-)

I must admit, it really puts a smile on my face when I see him climb down out of the truck!

Welcome . . .

. . . to Jim and Jen, I finally convinced you into starting a blog of your very own to share photos and stories with the rest of the family. It's just such an easy thing to get started and anyone, anywhere can share in your joy. Now you just have to talk the rest of the McLaughlin clan into getting on board. Love Ya . . . Mom

Hottubbin'

Haley and Jay didn't find it too cold to enjoy a few hours in the hot tub. This tub has been the best "babysitter" in the house. The kids entertain themselves for hours enjoying the outdoors.

Breakfast with grampa . . .

A healthy breakfast of sausages and eggs with grampa on a chilly Saturday morning.

Brrrrr . . .

Well, didn't the temperature drop here in Chilliwack, we have ice on the backyard pond.

This is the view every morning while I wait for my "eye opener" at the local Timmy's . .

Coffee in hand, I'm off to work . . . looks like it's going to be a somewhat nice day. The clouds aren't really as nasty as they look..

Dad in 1944

My dad, photo taken in 1944 when he was just 26. Such a handsome dude . . .

My fabulous family (left to right) Jim, Jay, Jenni and Haley. Photo was taken at Maple Bay, Cultus Lake, BC November 2005.

Tons of work . . .

Lots of work to get to the "beautiful" stage, thanks to Jenni and Jim over the Labour Day weekend 2003 we accomplished a great deal of work.

This picture was taken just days after we purchased our lot. Rick is chatting with one of our new neighbours "Popeye" from across the street. We love all the neighbours . . .

Fully landscaped and very relaxing!
