Butterfly heaven . . .

Butterflies are symbols of freedom, beauty, and love ... I want to eat lots, sleep awhile and wake up beautiful like a butterfly!

I love to spend time with my husband, my daughter, my grandchildren, and my great granddaughter. I also enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine with friends to "blow off steam"! Family and friends are the most important people in my life.

Family time . . .

The family that plays together, stays together. Relaxing on a Sunday evening after a long, hard day spreading topsoil for the new lawn.

B Honors . . .

My beautiful and brilliant grandaughter Haley (center, in the blue sweater), waiting patiently for them to call her name at the assembly on Monday, March 27th. We're all so proud of her, B Honors two terms in a row! She sure has found her pace and is doing wonderfully in school this year. Then . . . finally, it's up to the front with the group of them for the presentation. WOW . . .

Why . . .

I've spent some time reading other blogs and for the life of me I can't figure out why people would want to publish some of the things they do. There's so many out there that can't spell (or don't care if it's wrong) and I'm sure never caught the purpose of learning correct grammer. I guess it's the nature of my job that has made me so anal about these things.

I have seen some really off the wall pages and end up scratching my head in disbelief.

What a day we're having here in the beautiful Fraser Valley. This morning it was cloudy, then it started to rain heavily and now the sun is shining. The weather man must be scratching his head as well. I have a simple way of telling the weather in the valley . . . if you can see the mountains, it's going to rain and if you can't see them, it is raining! Seems to be pretty foolproof.

I hope Aaron reads this . . . HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY AARON . . . I hope you have a wonderful time at "Freaky Friday" with all your friends. Don't eat too many hot dogs.

Learning . . .

I've spent about an hour puzzling out how to change things on my blog page. I know how to add text and pictures, but I wanted to change the font in my titles. So, with a little research and a bit of trial and error I achieved it. I'm always so happy when I figure something out on the computer, it always seems so much smarter than I am. This time I feel like the victor.

Where I work . . .

For those that haven't had the pleasure of visiting me at work and seeing what a beautiful location it is, here's a shot of the front of our building.

Also, a few shots I took last fall up at Lindell Beach, Cultus Lake . . .

. . . waiting for summer!

Here I sit looking out at the rain, dreaming of the days when I can cruise up the highway in my "fun in the sun" car to spend a few days at the trailer.

I know my good buddy Lise is dreaming the same dream . . . only a few more months to go and we'll be sitting by the pool again.

. . . commit me

I didn't listen to my own advice (or that of my lovely daughter) and went ahead and had another "in home jewellery party" . . . of course, party is not the operative word here. It turned out exactly as I feared, with me begging my friends to come enjoy the food and good company and that they did. The stress of wondering how many would attend and what to serve is not worth the effort. I'll NEVER do it again . . . please drag me off and have me committed if I even mention it again. Candles, jewellery, tupperware, spices, kitchen gadgets . . . will all have to sell themselves elsewhere.

To my friends that did come, thank you!

Ok , I'm going to stop whining like a baby . . . and make note in my memory that March 1, 2006, was the date of my last LAST "in home party" . . . I can relate to this little fella! He looks like he just lost his best friend!
