Butterfly heaven . . .

Butterflies are symbols of freedom, beauty, and love ... I want to eat lots, sleep awhile and wake up beautiful like a butterfly!

Location: Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada

I love to spend time with my husband, my daughter, my grandchildren, and my great granddaughter. I also enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine with friends to "blow off steam"! Family and friends are the most important people in my life.

Victoria . . .

beach scene

Here's a view of the beach along the "Scenic Drive" which follows the coastline in Victoria.

Sue

Sue was almost swept away in the tide . . . yikes . . . good thing she stopped at the bottom step.

Mom, Jack and Rick

Mom, Jack and Rick looking over the sea wall.

Oak Bay Marina

Oak Bay Marina, what a beautiful day and what a ton of money is in this one shot!

Mom and Jack

Mom and Jack, coffee in hand, looking forward to a rest in the sun at the marina.

Feeding the seals

Feeding the seals, these seals were such a joy to watch, when the food wasn't coming fast enough they would slap their fins on the water and splash the kids.

Haley and Jay on the ferry

Haley and Jay on the ferry, it was so windy at the front of the boat Haley had trouble seeing through all her hair. Jay was intent on eating that toffee that grampa had treated him to.

Isn't she beautiful?

Haley had a gymnastics meet in Delta, May 7th, and she did fantastic. Here's a couple of pics of her form ... she didn't get that body from my side of the family tree ... I think her daddy had a lot to do with that! The top picture is of Rachel, one of Haley's teammates . . .

Hummingbirds . . .

I took this picture on Friday (May 5th) and most of the time there are as many as four to six hummers feeding at the same time (the feeder is just outside my window at work). They are so much fun to watch as they squabble with each other to get to the feeder. Today when I was replacing the feeder after refilling, there were three feeding while I was still holding the feeder. These little guys are amazing ! ! !

Little or big . . . they're all the same . . .

Boys and their toys, big and little they're all the same.

Grampa and Jay were having a great time with the new sky rocket gun.

Ain't it nifty . . .

Ain't it nifty . . . she's really turning 50! Although I know this is a few days early, I wanted to wish my darlin' sister-in-law a very happy day on May 18th! We will all be there to help you celebrate on the 13th and wish you sunshine in your life always! We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the party! See you soon!

April 27th, 2006 . . .

After hours of cleaning up leaves and blowing off the deck (with my new Black & Decker leaf hog) our peaceful spot seems to be back in order.

Thanks to my beautiful grandchildren, we also have a new member of the "frog family" to grace our deck. I've decided that the butterfly's can stay in the valley and the frogs can have the Shuswap.
