It's official . . .

Rick and I made it official on Sunday the 17th (being our 7th anniversary) and here's a picture of the ring. It's a green sapphire with diamonds on either side. No date has been set for the grand event, Rick says we need to save up enough for the party, so who knows how long that's going to take. After all, we tend to spend our extra $'s on resort properties, toys and dinners out with the kids.

Eric . . .

. . . my handsome son should be 31 today . . . I miss him so much! I can't help but wonder what he would look like now. I know how he would have enjoyed Haley and Jay, what a great uncle he would have been! And contrary to popular opinion . . . he loved his sis too . . .

A sign of life in a barren landscape . . . I'm playing with editing photos in Picasa and love the ease of using the program. It's a free download . . . yes, Jenni, you were right and I was stubborn.

Fire in Manning Park . . .

As we drove through Manning Park on Sunday the sun turned a brilliant red caused by the smoke from the Eastgate Fire. As we continued along the highway the smoke thinned and the sky returned to a beautiful blue. I know I haven't done it justice, but I tried.

First day of school . . . 2006

This year McCammon Elementary became McCammon Traditional School. The kids all wear uniforms and they look wonderful. Haley and Jay were very happy to be going back to school to see their friends and return to the business of learning. This is about the third day of school, doesn't Jay have a "tough" stance? He's so cute! spiked hair and all!
