Butterfly heaven . . .

Butterflies are symbols of freedom, beauty, and love ... I want to eat lots, sleep awhile and wake up beautiful like a butterfly!

I love to spend time with my husband, my daughter, my grandchildren, and my great granddaughter. I also enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine with friends to "blow off steam"! Family and friends are the most important people in my life.

. . . and then it was over!

Christmas is always such a wonderful time of year. We love having family and friends to celebrate with, and we miss those that are not here with us this year. From our house . . .

. . . to Jen and Jim's, there were so many presents! Jim looks at the pile around him . . .

Haley and Jay waste no time digging in to the tough job at hand!

Mom showing off her "medicinal" bottle of Bailey's (we all know she must be tucked in bed before this is taken). Haley looks pretty happy about whatever it is she's opening now . . .

Looks like Jen is all set for the "around the house" jobs that always seem to come up when you can't find the right tool for the task . . .

. . . and last, but definitely not least, Jenni left speachless by the thoughtful gift Jim gave her (and the kids).

. . . it's a DVD/PS2 player for the truck! Now they're set for a few long road trips . . .

Winter in Cultus Lake

For all those that live in the "snowy" east . . . proof we do get snow in BC . . . and when it decides to come, there's just no stopping it.

During the worst of the storm, things weren't moving too much around work. This poor old sub looks really cold and lonely.

The big thaw . . . we did get a dump of snow, but the beauty of the cold, fluffy stuff doesn't last long around here.

. . . waiting for spring . . .

In our effort to save the junipers, I suggested to Bryan that he use the blower. Well, doesn't it look like he's having just too much fun? At one point he decided to blow a little my way, what a shock!

Bryan lost in a cloud of snow . . .
